There was something outstanding about
Rev William Gordan Strahan (lic Ballymena), the next minister to be ordained on 13th September 1887. The was discerned by the congregation of 1st Newry who called him there on 18th April 1900. He later became an outstanding figure in the General Assembly and it's Moderator 1922.
